FLOYD, John H. -- John H. Floyd, 77 died at his home in Guyandotte, yesterday after a long illness. He was a veteran of the Civil War having fought througout the period of our years with the Union Army. After the war he settled on his farm near Seven-Mile and lived there until two years ago when he moved to Huntington.
Funeral services will be held from the Guyandotta Methodist Episcopal Church this afternoon at 1 o'clock and burial will be made in the Kyle cemetery, Rev. C. D. Laar, pastor of this church, will condict this services.
He is survived by his widow, two daughters, Mrs. James Wall, Barboursville and Mrs.H. Bias of Huntington: three sons, Finley Floyd of Huntington, and Allen and Patrick of Seven-Mile. -- The Herald-Dispatch, Thursday December 28, 1922.
