Lewis Edwards & Christina Catherine Gibbs Edwards
Lewis was born March 4, 1832, the son of Samuel Edwards and Sarah C. Lewis.
He married Christina Catherine Gibbs on Feb. 12, 1855, in West Columbia, Mason County, West Virginia. Christina was born March 24, 1837, in Virginia, the daughter of Zebulon Gibbs and Mariah Emiliza VanMeter.
Lewis died June 4, 1905 at West Columbia, and Christina died Mar. 24, 1906. Both are buried in the Edwards Cemetery on Mission Ridge in Mason County.

Discharged: June 22, 1865, at Wheeling, West Virginia
Description: black eyes, black hair, dark complextion, 5'10 1/2" tall
Lewis Edwards complained of "rheumatism of the back or of his back hurting him" after his discharge. Pension records say he was "disabled by disease of back incurred about Oct. 1864 at or near Cedar Creek."
